Taxi advertising for events and entertainment
An event gives a campaign a fixed date to build towards. On London’s taxis, that can mean branded taxis on the streets in the run-up, QR codes that lead to tickets, and taxis carrying guests and VIPs.
Building towards the date.
Major League Baseball’s campaign put full wraps on 100 London taxis and launched 100 days before the MLB London Series at London Stadium. For an event brief, the lead-in is the first planning decision: when the taxis should be on the street, relative to the date.
Campaigns run for a minimum of four weeks, and taxis, formats and dates are subject to availability. Taxi advertising lead times explains the stages between brief and launch.
From the street to a ticket.
A campaign can point people to the next step. MLB’s campaign used QR codes so that people could go straight to buying tickets for the London Series. Whether a QR code suits your artwork is part of the artwork conversation; the artwork guide covers how creative is prepared.
Branded taxis and VIP journeys.
Informa’s campaign around the Informa Awards 2025 ran on branded London taxis, privately hired through London Taxi Media for VIP journeys connected to the event.
Private hire is a separate service from the advertising formats, planned and priced to the brief. It is not part of a standard advertising campaign, but it can sit alongside one, as it did for Informa.
